Folegandros – Fantastic Chora
The traditional Chora was built at an altitude of about 200m on the very cliff facing the sea. Spectacular, unique and unrepeatable place!
Chora features narrow cobbled streets and small squares with a unique Cycladic architectural style. ➡ Characteristic white cubic houses with windows with blue, green, red shutters.
A bunch of flowers and Bougainvillea with a variety of colors that give a phenomenal visual experience!
The oldest picturesque part of the city of Kastro and the amazing view from the steep northern side of Kastro stand out.
You should walk and enjoy in the streets and squares because the visitor will keep all those wonderful pictures in this Paradise for the senses!
Folegandros – Church Panagia
Church of Panagia is the largest church on Folegandros, dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. It is located on a rock above Chora and built on the site of an ancient temple whose material was used for its construction.
In the courtyard and interior of the church you can see ancient sculptures, inscriptions and statues bases.
There is a marble inscription from 1687. about the restoration of the church. It got its present form during the reconstruction from period 1816. to 1821.
In order to get to the church, it is necessary to walk for 15 minutes by climbing the cobblestone path from Chora. From Church there is a fantastic view of Chora and the steep cliff on which Chora is located.
Ideal location for enjoying in the sunset! Amazing view of the Aegean Sea is breathtaking, watching the sun set behind the horizon and color the white houses of Chora in golden-yellow shades!

Katergo beach
The fantastic beach is located 3.5 km from the port of Karavostasi! The most beautiful beach on Folegandros and one of the most beautiful on the Aegean!
It can be reached by hiking a path, or by boat from the port of Karavostasi! Arriving by hiking requires descending a narrow and steep path above the beach! It’s worth the effort, because you are rewarded with a fantastic view on impressive landscape and turquoise blue sea!
The type of beach that is adored! A cove surrounded by high rocks on both sides and with an interesting rock formation on the beach. A small island enhances the fantastic impression of the beach!
Ideal for swimming, diving and cliff jumping, or enjoying the sun surrounded by impressive natural landscapes! The right location for nature lovers!
