The main town of Chora is built amphitheatrical on a rocky hill at a height of 200m above Livadi port.

Chora has a special charm with traditional Cycladic architecture. White colored houses with blue windows, narrow streets and beautiful squares surrounded by flowers, picturesque churches and charming windmills.
You should walk to the Venetian fortress, which was built in the 15th century. At the very top is the church of Agios Konstantinos. From there, there is a spectacular view of the harbor Livadi and the blue sea! Ideal place to enjoy and take pictures!
You can walk from Livadi port to Chora up the hill by stairs. Along the way, you can enjoy an impressive view that leaves you breathless!
In the narrow streets there are taverns and bars that fit perfectly into the environment. You should try local food that exudes with aromas and flavors.
You should also visit the interior of the island, which hides impressive landscapes, less visited beaches, important historical sites and beautiful churches and monasteries.
Taxiarchon Monastery
Taxiarchon Monastery is located on the northern side of Serifos, 11 km from Livadi port.
The monastery was founded in 1572 and is the most important religious building on the island.
The outer walls look like a fortress, and in the yard there is a beautiful church surrounded by greenery.
The church of Profitis Ilias
The church of Profitis Ilias is located on the top of Mount Troulos at about 550m.
From there you have a stunning view of the entire Serifos island and surrounding islands!
Aspros Pirgos (White Tower)
The White Tower is a circular marble building that dates back to the Hellenistic Age. The beautiful monument was built from big white marble boulders in the 4th century BC.
