White Tower

A symbol of the city, formerly a defensive tower, now a museum and a lookout point with a panoramic view.

Agios Dimitrios Church

The largest church in Greece, dedicated to the city’s patron saint, with a rich history and frescoes.

Agia Sofia Church

One of the most important churches, inspired by the church of the same name in Constantinople. An impressive building whose interior is decorated with mosaics from the Byzantine era.

Rotonda (Agios Georgios church)

A monumental building of the Roman era is one of the oldest and most impressive sights. Throughout history it had different purposes: from a Roman mausoleum, to a church and a mosque, and today it is a museum and a symbol of Byzantine architecture.

Galerius Arch (Kamara)

Roman monument built in honor of Emperor Galerius, located near the Rotonda.

Zeitenlik

Zeitenlik is the largest Serbian military cemetery from the World War I, located in Thessaloniki. This memorial site holds a great significance for Serbs as a symbol of the heroic struggle for freedom, sacrifice for the liberation of the homeland and national pride.

The cemetery contains a central monument and the graves of around 7,500 Serbian soldiers, along with allies who died on the Thessaloniki front. Serbian people traditionally visit Zeitenlik, especially on the anniversary of the breakthrough of the Thessaloniki front, paying tribute to their ancestors and heroes.
